Every month I chronicle those ordinary delights that give me comfort or offer a place of reflection or joy. Here are my everyday delights for April.
1. My Hydroflask: I know some parts of the country are experiencing snow and wintry conditions, but in the desert, summer has arrived. We already had a few days of mid-nineties weather. The best way to stay cool in the heat – drinking tons of water. The ice and water stay completely cold in a Hydroflask.
2. Laughing out loud: This past month we had the privilege of attending a Trevor Noah comedy show. I’ve always thought standup comedy is an incredible feat to master. The writing, delivery and the ability to switch gears based on the audience’s reactions require not only preparation and talent, but also a stage presence most can’t conquer. I urge you to check out the audible version of Born a Crime by Noah. It is delight to hear his extraordinary story.
3. This knick-knack: I love decorating our home with items that reflect our personality and who we are. I found this accessory over the weekend. We are always encouraging each other to read – because it is the best way to learn about the world, to be present and relax.
4. Carpool Karaoke: I absolutely adore James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke. It is fun to listen to the banter and hear artists sing. My recent favorite features Christina Aguilera. Check out the link here.
What were some of your everyday delights this month?
My kids have given me two different water bottles that they love. They are similar to your image here. They are trying to wean me off plastic water bottles. My favorite is one that is good for using at home. The other one is better for travel, and beautiful, but a bit heavy.
It was so good seeing you!
Loved catching up with you, Luanne! xo
The flask looks awesome! I have yet to find water carrier Nirvana.
And I love Trevor Noah! He just makes sense to me.
Charisma and witty sense of humor – he thoroughly entertained us for about an hour and a half. And I agree with you – he just gets it!
The home should reflect who we are…enjoy ! I love the all of you enjoy reading.
Thanks, Ayala! The lovely tea cup you gave me is one of my faves in my kitchen. xo
