I am making a commitment to read more books this year. It is the easiest way to unplug and embrace the present. Here is what is on my bookshelf right now:
Am I There Yet? by Mari Andrew
Tangerine by Christine Mangan
An American Marriage by Tayari Jones
Into the Water by Paula Hawkins
Smarter Faster Better by Charles Duhigg
What is on your bookshelf?
I’m currently reading Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine. What an interesting one! Next up are two Fredrik Bachmann books.
I’ve heard great things about Backman’s books. I read A Man Called Ove and enjoyed it.
I’m reading a seemingly random range of books right now, with my mood going in many directions: The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao; Grain Brain (about diet); The Secrets of the FBI; and A Gentleman in Moscow. I also have An American Marriage in my (very high) TBR pile. Hope you’ve been well, Rudri! I too am hoping to read more books this year.
Always great to see you in my space, Cecilia. You have a wide variety in your book selections. . . The Secrets of the FBI seems intriguing. Thanks for the recommendations and hope you are doing well. xo
Great list! I’m in the middle of two fun ones right now: an early copy (via netgalley) of David Sedaris’s newest, Calypso. And Sloane Crosley’s new essay collection. I guess I’m having a nonfiction moment.
I want to check out Crosley’s latest. Thanks for the rec, Nina.
I am currently reading The Great Spring by Natalie Goldberg and listening to Born to run by Bruce Springsteen on audio. 🙂
Love that you are keeping up with your reading via Audible. Some books are meant to be heard.
