Every month I chronicle those ordinary delights that give me comfort or offer a place of reflection or joy. Here are my everyday delights for February.
1. The Instagram feed of Mari Andrew: I love perusing through Mari Andrew’s Instagram feed. She sums life’s simple and complicated in illustrations. Here is a favorite of mine, “A Fully Furnished Heart.”
2. Flowers: I’ve always believed fresh flowers offer a measurable delight in an ordinary day. I frequently pick up a variety of these gems while I am grocery shopping. It is an immediate source of joy.
3. Hamilton: I gave into the frenzy and saw Hamilton. Since attending the musical, the songs play in surround sound at home and in the car. I have several favorites, but the song I love the most is “That Would Be Enough.”
4. My Bullet Journal affirmations page: Some days it is difficult to make gratitude a part of my day. My bullet journal affirmations page is my way of remembering that uncomfortable moments too will pass and there is goodness, if I consciously make this choice.
What were some of your everyday delights this month?
Cassidy gave me a rose for Valentine’s Day and it is still alive! I love flowers. Hamilton all the way in our house too. I think dear Theodosia is still my favorite song but there are a bunch that I love.
