Every month I chronicle those ordinary delights that give me comfort or offer a place of reflection or joy. Here are my everyday delights for January.

1. My standing desk: As a writer, I need to remain proactive about standing and not sitting too long in front of the computer. I looked for standing writing desks for years and my husband finally found one that  has changed the way I work. I am more productive because of this desk space. It is a Trensanti white standing desk with the option to adjust heights.

2. My book list for this month: I have a pile of books I am reading in January which include Tell Me More by Kelly Corrigan, Jon Acuff’s Finish, Exit West by Mohsin Hamid, No Time to Spare by Ursula K. Le Guin, and Her Body and Other Parties by Carmen Maria Machado.

3. Giving Keys Necklace: My word of the year is mindful. I love the mission of Giving Keys and ordered this necklace as a fun reminder of my focus in 2018.

4. My Bullet Journal stickers: I adore my bullet journal and reward myself with fun quotes and sayings on my weekly calendar page. When I saw these stickers at Paper Source, I knew they would be the perfect accessory for my bullet journal.
