Every month I chronicle those ordinary delights that give me comfort or offer a place of reflection or joy. Here are my everyday delights for November.
1. The welcoming of fall: I witnessed Arizona’s fall hues. Different regions in the state experience the green-yellow-red turning of leaves and the cold crisp weather in the air. The landscape is dazzling and picturesque.
2. Girls’ Trip to Sedona: I spent the weekend with a couple of friends and we had the opportunity to enjoy Sedona. There is a specific comfort that comes with aging – the need to be yourself – and the hope at least a few people appreciate what you offer to the world. I am fortunate to have the privilege to connect with several people who not only know me, but get me as well.
We loved this view while in Sedona.
3. Hope Hummus: My family enjoys hummus. We discovered the Hope Hummus brand while visiting Texas. It is delicious – don’t take my word for it – try it. Although it comes in many flavors, we prefer the original recipe.
4. Home: We spent Thanksgiving week with family and friends. I played with my niece and nephew, hung out with my family, and of course, ate some fun food. One evening I captured the sky. The golden hues reminded me of how grateful I felt about my everyday life.
What delighted you in November?
Those Arizona skies are so beautiful! And I love the fall foliage – very pretty against the mountain backdrop.
Thanks, Sarah. It is magnificent in person.
I always love your everyday delights, Rudri!
Thanks, Luanne. Appreciate it! Hope it gets you thinking about some of your personal delights.
I don’t know that hummus but I want to know it!
The fall landscapes there. Wow..
Also, I love Sedona. I’ve only been once but I think of it often.
Yay for girls’ trips!
