There are several books sitting on my shelves that beg for my attention. This year, I vowed to be more consistent with my reading – I haven’t reached my goal, but I’ve made it a priority to read whenever I have a free moment. Here is what I am reading right now:
Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng
Born a Crime:Stories from a South African Childhood by Trevor Noah
Ignore Everybody and 39 Other Ways to Creativity by Hugh MacLeod
Circadian by Chelsey Clammer
Staggerwing by Alice Kaltman
Leonardo da Vinci by Walter Isaacson
What are your reading recommendations?
LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE is on my nightstand too, along with MANHATTAN BEACH by Jennifer Egan and EINSTEIN AND THE RABBI by Rabbi Naomi Levy. BORN A CRIME was awesome on audio. Best book I’ve read this year is THE HEARTS INVISIBLE FURIES by John Doyle. Just started Tom Hanks new short story collection – pretty good. Plus, some great nonfiction on the craft of writing!!
Thanks for the recommendations, Pamela. Will put these on my TBR list.
Great list, Rudri! Little Fires Everywhere is at the top of my list also. I’m looking forward to getting your thoughts on it.
Next up for me is Moonglow by Michael Chabon.
Aww, I will have to check out Moonglow. Thanks, Jackie.
I just finished a great YA book. I can’t remember the name but Emily Dessen is thr author and it’s her new one!
The YA genre has some great books. Will take a look at the author you mentioned, Tamara. Thanks.
I just finished Little Fires. I was underwhelmed. I LOVED Walter Isaacson’s story of DaVinci. I also just read Dark Money by Jane Meyer and The Dreamers Behold by Imbolo Mbue
I am curious, Amy. Why didn’t you like Little Fires? D
Dark Money sounds interesting.
Really liked Little Fires Everywhere!
