Every month I chronicle those ordinary delights that give me comfort or offer a place of reflection or joy. Here are my everyday delights for April:
1. Field Notes Journals: These notebooks are handy to jot down quick lists or thoughts. Small enough to fit in your purse you can even scrawl ideas on the go. They are available from Robert Mason Heritage Supply Company. Don’t wait to purchase these notebooks (Unfortunately, Robert Mason Heritage Supply Company is going out of business).
2. Eating Clean Cookbook by Amie Valpone: I am in midlife and healthy choices are mandatory. This cookbook is a practical guide that offers a learning experience on the foods we eat and how it impacts our bodies.
3. Garlic Naan from Trader Joe’s: Who doesn’t love buttery naan from a local Indian restaurant? Guess what? Now you don’t have to wait to dine at your Indian restaurant because Trader Joe’s offers a garlic naan that is, dare I say, similar to what you might find at your favorite place in town. (Yes, I am aware that I just highlighted naan – right after the clean eating cookbook – I am full of contradictions.)
4. This photo: Spring is one of my favorite seasons to take pictures around the desert. I’ve taken several photographs since I’ve moved here and I particularly love this snapshot. It’s beautiful and still and radiant. I only had to walk around my neighborhood to spot this beauty.
What were some of your everyday delights this month?
I am loving Option B. Nearly finished and it is so powerful
I finished Option B earlier this month. She makes some great points regarding love and loss. Thanks for adding your fave of the month.
Gorgeous photo! I can’t even call it a snapshot.
I loooove Naan but for some reason, I’ve never tried it from Trader Joe’s. And I love Trader Joe’s. Thank you for this delight!
Thanks for your kind words. I love that photograph and I am so surprised I captured the details and texture of the flower.
You must try the naan!
So excited about the naan at TJ!
You MUST try it! You won’t be disappointed.
