I do this meme from time to time and I thought it might be fun to revisit it again. This is what is happening in my world, right now:
What I Am Listening To: I am listening to a variety of tunes. I love the Epilogue to the movie La La Land and it seems to be the track I keep repeating over and over. I also am enjoying Sia and interchanging it with piano medleys on Pandora.
What I Am Watching: The Australian Open is on and we are trying to catch as many matches as possible. We adore Sherlock and are excited about the return of Homeland. I’ve enjoyed The Affair in past seasons, but this year it isn’t holding my interest.
What I Am Reading: I’ve made it a priority to read again, consistently. Right now, I am reading, Will Schwalbe’s, Books for Living, Laura Vanderkam’s I Know How She Does It, Sara Benincasa’s Real Artists Have Day Jobs, and Grief Is the Thing with Feathers by Max Porter.
What I Am Capturing: The weather is definitely more gloomy in the desert than past years. Not seeing the sun is rare for us and so I am grateful when I can catch a sunrise or sunset. The sunsets this month have been spectacular, but one particular morning I captured a brilliant sunrise as I made my way to my daughter’s school.
What I Am Loving: I’ve retreated inward lately, focusing on writing, the launch of The Sunlight Press, and tasks related to our home and family. The focus on my word of the year, consistent, has meant narrowing down what holds supreme importance and it helps me filter through the noise. I am loving the chill in the air in the morning, making time for movies and morning jogs.
What’s currently going on in your world?
I’m really enjoying The Sunlight Press!
I am so glad to hear you like it, Amy! Thanks for letting me know.
I just saw La La Land yesterday and I can’t stop listening. Sia is a favorite, as you might know. Piano medleys = yes!
I have to catch up with Sherlock. I’m behind!
I’d love to know what you think of Sherlock. My husband and I are on the fence about this past season.
I’m so excited about your new venture with Sunlight Press!
Thanks, Nina. I certainly appreciate your support.
