“So many books, so little time.”
― Frank Zappa
There are several books sitting on my shelves, begging for my attention. I hope to find more time to read this month. Here is what is currently on my bookshelf:
Moments of Seeing by Katrina Kenison
Upstream by Mary Oliver
The Mothers by Brit Bennett
China Dolls by Lisa See
Daughters of the Samurai: A Journey from East to West and Back by Janice P. Nimura
What are you reading this month?

I too have begging books around me as I finished several books and then didn’t pick up another. According to Goodreads I am currently reading several, but alas . . . . But I recently read Monkey Mind by Daniel Smith, a memoir about anxiety. It was thought provoking for anybody who has battled anxiety.
Thanks for the recommendation, Luanne. I’ll definitely check out Monkey Mind.
Commonwealth by Ann Patchette
Why we Write About Ourselves edited by Meredith Maran
Becoming Wise by Krista Tippett
Thanks for the suggestions, Pam. Some of these books are in my to-read pile.
I just finished Love Warrior. I will probably start Commonwealth next, but not sure.
Did you like Love Warrior, Nina? Curious to hear your thoughts.
I LOVED The Mothers…can’t wait to hear your thoughts! I’m halfway through Riverine (amazing) and eagerly awaiting the arrival of Kerry Egan’s On Living, and Vanessa Hua’s Deceit And Other Possibilities.
Can’t wait to dive in, Katie. I always look forward to your Instagram posts online. So many great recommendations. Thanks!
The Mothers is on my list! Just finished the Underground Railroad.
Did you like Underground Railroad? I’ve eyed it a few times, but haven’t picked it up.
