I am a voracious reader and every week I come across either a book, online piece or website I want to share with others. I’ve decided to curate these gems and highlight them on Friday. I hope you find these faves as insightful as I do.
- Do you need to breakup with a friend? The advice in the piece, “How to break up with a friend,” by Rachel Rabkin Peachman is helpful for those who are contemplating ending a friendship.
- Aeon asks a relevant question in the piece, “The be all and end all” by Christopher Harding: Should spirituality be a part of end-of-life care?
- I am fond of meaningful letters and an advocate of grace. This letter from President Bush to President Clinton encompasses both of these themes.
- Here is some unusual advice, but this piece is worth the read – “How to be perfectly unhappy.” h/t from my friend, Asha Dornfest of Parent Hacks.
What were your favorite reads this week?
I liked the comments on the friendship piece at the NYT.
Agree on the letter from Bush to Clinton!
The friendship piece is interesting. I must read the comments.
The friendship one fascinates me the most! I read “My Other Ex” last year and I’m still affected.
The letter from Bush to Clinton drew tears, I admit.
I also read “My Other Ex” too and some of the stories impacted me too. Friendship can be fulfilling, but when it goes wrong, the angst lingers.
