I cannot sleep unless I am surrounded by books. –Jorge Luis Borges
I order and check out more books than I can possibly read. The stack of books offer comfort and a place of refuge. Here is what is currently on my book shelf:
Encyclopedia of an Ordinary Life by Amy Krause Rosenthal
Textbook by Amy Krause Rosenthal
All We Had by Annie Weatherwax
The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena
Commonwealth by Ann Patchett
Nutshell by Ian McEwen
What are you reading right now?

When Breath Becomes Air
Love Warrior
Elaina,
I loved When Breath Becomes Air. One of my favorite books this year. Love Warrior is on my shelf too. Good to hear from you.
The Orphan’s Train
Truly Madly Guilty by Liane Moriarty
And LOVED when breath becomes air. May be my favorite book of all time
Thank you for the recommendations!
My pleasure, Amy! I enjoy Moriarty’s work and have her latest in my to-read pile.
We always have Ann Patchett in common.
I’m reading Emily Giffin’s new one. I generally never buy books but I bought this one for my Alaskan trip, and then never read it on the plane because it was dark!
Patchett is a gem. I’ve read a few of Griffin’s books in the past, but haven’t checked out her latest yet.
Oooh, you got some big fall books there! I’m in the middle of The Hopefuls but Jennifer Close, and I’m enjoying it.
I will have to check out that book, Nina. Thanks!
Reading some non-fiction right now – The Power of Habit and Emotional Agility. Both are wonderful so far. I’m eager to look up the books on your list.
Hey Cecilia – I will definitely put Emotional Agility in my to-read pile. The title sounds intriguing. Hope you’re doing well. xo
I read Textbook by Amy Krouse Rosenthal recently. The format and structure were so interesting. I love the way she uses a combination of the book and social media to bring readers together in a unique way.
The way she writes is fascinating and insightful. I am halfway through her first book and can’t wait to dive into the second.
