I am a voracious reader and every week I come across either a book, online piece or website I want to share with others. I’ve decided to curate these gems and highlight them on Friday. I hope you find these faves as insightful as I do.
- Letters matter. This piece will convince you. It’s a longer work, but worth every minute. “When you find my body’: The last days of Gerry Largay” is profiled in the Boston Globe.
- “Have fun and love often. Find wonder and beauty. Know gratitude.” This is the message from Orrin Devinsky in “A Year Without Oliver Sacks.”
- Need book suggestions for the end of summer? Ann Patchett’s blog at Parnassus Books offers great recommendations.
- I am particularly fond of running and love this short film presented by Aeon in “Runners drop their guards and confess their deepest anxieties and greatest hopes.”
What were your favorite reads this week?
I enjoyed reading a year without Oliver Sacks. Will try to catch up on the rest. I hope all is well.
