I am a voracious reader and every week I come across either a book, online piece or website I want to share with others. I’ve decided to curate these gems and highlight them on Friday. I hope you find these faves as insightful as I do.
- I am fascinated with friendship and what makes certain relationships thrive, while other connections become difficult to maintain. Upworthy surveys awkward friendships. Do you have any of these friendships in your life?
- What are the secrets to living a long life? I laughed and paused at some of the answers in “Secrets to Long Life From the World’s Oldest People.”
- I love lists, especially when related to books. Anna Quindlen explores her “10 Favorite Classics About Growing Older and Wiser.” There are several interesting choices. Would any of these books make your list?
- Parent-teacher conferences are sometimes difficult to navigate. I love my friend Christine Sass Organ’s perspective on what areas are the most important for her in the piece, “What I Really Want to Ask At All Those Parent-Teacher Conferences.”
What are some of your favorite reads this week?
Thank you for sharing. I have to add these to my long reading list. I’ve been busy and I have not had time to keep up with all the reading I want to do. Xox
I hope you enjoy reading these finds, Ayala.
The friendship article is fascinating.
As for secrets to long life, when my grandmother was interviews by the paper for her 100th birthday, she said her secret to long life was, “Exercise and eating ice cream every night.” ha! She also ate a lot of burgers.
Good genes for her.
I love that your grandmother ate ice cream every night. She balanced it out with the exercise. Thanks for sharing, Tamara.
Oooh, going to check out Quindlen’s! Loved that friendship post. I remember it from Wait But Why. Crazy smart, that blog.
Nina,
I didn’t realize the friendship piece already appeared on the blog you mentioned. I will definitely check it out. Thanks!
