I am a voracious reader and every week I come across either a book, online piece or website I want to share with others. I’ve decided to curate these gems and highlight them on Friday. I hope you find these faves as insightful as I do.
- What does midlife mean to you? “I Have Lived Over Half of My Life” by Miranda Sawyer distills some of the quiet anguish of midlife.
- Having trouble putting your book writing first? I love Kirsten Shaw’s resolve in “Why I Commit the First Hour of My Day to Writing My Book.”
- Are you a procrastinator? You may be in luck. “Why I Taught Myself to Procrastinate” by Adam Grant offers interesting insights on why waiting until the last minute might be great for the creative process.
- This musing On Self-Respect comes from one of my favorite authors, Joan Didion.
What were some of your favorite reads this week?
I love your Friday faves!!! That Joan Didion essay was amazing. Thank you for sharing these!
My pleasure, Pamela. I am glad my pieces resonate with you. xo
Oh wow I need to read Kristen’s ASAP.
I always appreciate your Friday Faves, often linking through to this and that and then several pockets deep into the reading rabbit hole. Such great pieces and snippets. I particularly got lost in Joan Didion’s piece this week. Just wanted you to know and hope you keep sharing them.
The Joan Didion’s piece is an oldie, but a goodie. I love curating these pieces once a week and absolutely love sharing them with my readers. Thanks for letting me know how much you look forward to my Friday faves. xo
