I am a voracious reader and every week I come across either a book, online piece or website I want to share with others. I’ve decided to curate these gems and highlight them on Friday. I hope you find these faves as insightful as I do.
- With the current events in France, I ran across this article in The Guardian. A reporter poses as a young woman interested in joining ISIS. “Skyping With the Enemy: I Went Undercover as a Jihadi Girlfriend” offers an uncensored version of what happens when a young woman contacts a Jihadist.
- Craving a fun start to your weekend? This mashup of Hollywood golden couples paired with the song Uptown Funk is uplifting and nostalgic. Watch it – will definitely make you smile.
- Do you love quotes? I adore Claudia Cummins’s website First Sip. I visit her site daily to find reflective and insightful quotes.
- Earlier this year I had the pleasure of meeting Karen Walrond. Check out her wonderful site, Chookooloonks, Look for the Light. Her photography and words offer rich perspective and insight.
What were some of your favorites this week?
I’m a huge First Sip fan … Always love your Friday Favorites xox
Thanks, Lindsey. I love curating these finds every week. xo
I had fun visiting Chookoolooonks. Did I spell that right? Probably not, but it was fun to try it from memory!
The Jihadist one is fascinating.
Oh my gosh I read that Guardian piece last week too. Wow.
Adding to my list, thank you.
