Friday Favorites

I am a voracious reader and every week I come across either a book, online piece or website I want to share with others. I’ve decided to curate these gems and highlight them on Friday. I hope you find these faves as insightful as I do.

  • What happens to people who die alone? Who knows their stories? The New York Times investigates the following premise in its piece, The Lonely Death of George Bell – “In discovering a death, you find a life story and perhaps meaning. Could anything in the map of George Bell’s existence have explained his lonely end? Possibly not. But it was true that George Bell died carrying some secrets. Secrets about how he lived and secrets about who mattered most to him. Those secrets would bring sorrow. At the same time, they would deliver rewards. Death does that. It closes doors but also opens them.”
  • I love personality tests and enjoyed answering this quiz to determine my Meyers-Briggs type indicator. I am a INTJ. Find out what you are by taking this personality test.
  • What ingredients make a friendship last? I’ve always adored the subject of friendship. The Atlantic offers interesting insights in this piece, “How Friendships Change in Adulthood.”
