I am a voracious reader and every week I come across either a book, online piece or website I want to share with others. I’ve decided to curate these gems and highlight them on Friday. I hope you find these faves as insightful as I do.
- What is the most important question of your life? Mark Manson’s piece is my must-read essay of this week. He makes this poignant observation: “A more interesting question, a question that perhaps you’ve never considered before, is what pain do you want in your life? What are you willing to struggle for? Because that seems to be a greater determinant of how our lives turn out.”
- I adore “If You Ask Me How. . . Family Tree” by my writer friend, Kristen. Her pieces are thoughtful and introspective and often push me to consider my own reflections about the topics she beautifully explores in her work.
- I’ve mentioned how I’ve depended on Brene Brown’s work to explore vulnerability. My husband pointed me to this podcast on the Tim Ferriss show where she discusses her latest book, as well as other issues related to authenticity. I encourage you to listen to her words. They are powerful.
- Adrienne Brodeur’s, Literal Balance, Life Balance will help you reevaluate what it means to be present in your life.
What are some of your favorite reads this week?
I thought that Mark Manson article was thought-provoking too. Heading over to read the others now.
Hope you enjoy the remaining reads, Christine!
