I see trees of green,
red roses too.
I see them bloom,
for me and you.
And I think to myself,
what a wonderful world.
I see skies of blue,
And clouds of white.
The bright blessed day,
The dark sacred night.
And I think to myself,
What a wonderful world.
The colors of the rainbow,
So pretty in the sky.
Are also on the faces,
Of people going by,
I see friends shaking hands.
Saying, “How do you do?”
They’re really saying,
“I love you”.
I hear babies cry,
I watch them grow,
They’ll learn much more,
Than I’ll ever know.
And I think to myself,
What a wonderful world.
Yes, I think to myself,
What a wonderful world.

Indeed.
One of my favorite song lyrics! I love the photograph. I always love photos with water reflections. I had to enlarge it to recognize the cactus plant. Awesome.
Glad you liked the photo and the accompanying words. This is one of my favorite pics. I also gravitate toward pictures with reflections. I feel like it reveals so many textures and nuances.
Beautiful photo, and I love these lyrics.
Thanks, Luanne.
I love it 🙂
I think I had this song playing in the background when I was reading something my son had written 4 years ago, and you’d commented on my blog that you loved the song. It’s such a beautiful song. It does make me weepy though.
Cecilia,
This song played at our wedding. We danced our first dance to this melody. It makes me happy and weepy all at the same time, too.
